Capture, make it photoreal, iterate.

Three steps, all in a panel inside SketchUp. No export, no file to upload, no prompt to write for the first render.

  1. SketchUp viewport screenshot of an untextured white two-storey villa with a cantilevered glass upper floor, a pool and a terrace on a flat ground plane
    Your SketchUp view

    Step 1

    Capture

Click Render this view on the Visualizee toolbar. The extension takes the view exactly as you framed it, plus the names of the materials in it. Nothing in your model changes.

  2. Photoreal white contemporary villa at golden hour with a cantilevered glass upper floor, a glowing turquoise pool, travertine terrace and a garden of olive trees and grasses
    Golden hour, first render

    Step 2

    Make it photoreal

One click on Make it photoreal, no prompt needed. Walls, openings and camera stay where you modeled them. Add a note if you like: oak floor, evening light.

  3. The same villa and camera with its walls and fascias now clad in black charred timber, glowing glass and a lit pool at golden hour
“Change the cladding to charred timber. Keep everything else.”

    Step 3

    Iterate

Type the next change in plain words. Each render becomes a version you can compare, keep or continue from, so ten facade options stay one click apart.

Edits in conversation, not masks.

Changing one surface in an AI render usually means painting a mask over it. Visualizee knows your SketchUp materials by name, so you just say the change and only that part moves.

Reads your materials
The material names, colours and texture names in your view travel with the capture as text. "Floor_Oak" and "Plaster_White" already mean something before you type a word.
No masks to paint
Say what to change and what stays. No painting over surfaces, no ID passes, no layers to tag. Your words win wherever they differ from the model.
Keeps your design
Geometry, openings and the camera are held fixed, so the render lines up with your drawings and the next render lines up with the last.
Every version kept
Each view you capture becomes its own project in a SketchUp folder named after your model, with every version in one strip.
  1. SketchUp screenshot of an untextured white and grey model of a double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace wall with built-in shelves, a mezzanine and an L-shaped sofa
    SketchUp view, untextured
  2. Photoreal double-height living room at golden hour: sun setting over a city skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows, travertine fireplace wall with walnut shelves, linen L-shaped sofa, brass floor lamp and a globe pendant
“Make it a real living room in warm evening light.”
  3. The same golden-hour living room with the sofa reupholstered in cream boucle and a light oak herringbone floor; windows, fireplace wall, shelves and furniture unchanged
“Sofa in cream boucle, herringbone oak floor.”

Made for people who model in SketchUp.

Questions, answered.

All questions
How much does the SketchUp extension cost?
The extension is free to install. Renders run on your Visualizee account, the same plans as the web app. Try it free: your first render is on us, and you pick a plan on the pricing page when you want more.
Which SketchUp versions does it support?
Desktop SketchUp 2023 or newer (Pro or Studio) on Windows and macOS. SketchUp for Web and for iPad do not run extensions: there, save a screenshot of your view and upload it in the Visualizee web app instead.
What does the extension send, and is my model private?
Only what the render needs: an image of the current view, the model and scene name, the units, the camera angle, and the names and colours of up to 40 materials in view. Your .skp file never leaves your computer. We do not use your uploads or renders to train any AI model, and you can delete them anytime. The privacy policy has the details.
Do I have to paint masks or tag materials?
No. You say what to change in plain words, like "make the sofa cream boucle" or "change the cladding to charred timber". The extension sends your material names along with the view, so the render already knows which surface is the floor and which is the wall.
Will the render keep my design and camera?
Yes. Geometry, window and door openings and the camera are held fixed, and only what you name changes. If something moves anyway, say so in the next message or mark the area, and the change stays inside it.
Does it work on an untextured model?
Yes. Plain white SketchUp geometry is fine: say what the surfaces should be, or let the first render suggest real materials, then change them one by one.
Does it replace V-Ray, Enscape or D5?
No. V-Ray, Enscape and D5 still serve when you need physically accurate lighting studies or long animations. Visualizee covers the step between a finished model and a picture a client can react to, in a minute and in plain words.
Where are my renders saved?
In your Visualizee workspace, in a folder named after your model, one project per captured view with every version inside. Open in Visualizee takes you there in your browser, and Download saves the full-resolution image wherever you choose.
Can I use the renders for clients?
On any paid plan your renders have no watermark and come with a commercial license, for client decks, competitions and marketing.
Does it work offline?
No. Renders run on Visualizee servers, so SketchUp needs an internet connection while you render. Your model itself stays local.
