(the bedroom photo and a phone photo of the herringbone sample as references) Replace the beige carpet in this bedroom with the floor from the sample photo: light oak herringbone parquet with a matte oiled finish, laid across the whole floor, planks at a realistic size for the room. Keep everything else exactly as it is: the bed and duvet, the headboard, the bedside tables and lamps, the grey walls, the white skirting boards, the window and blind, the light and the camera angle. Photorealistic.
Recorded walkthrough
A new floor from a sample photo, then a rug
One room photo, one sample photo and one rug packshot in a chat, two Pro renders, every prompt shown, the credits and the clock on screen. Watch the recording or read the same steps below.
- 1Upload
Start a chat, add the room, add the sample
Two references: a phone photo of the room and a photo of the flooring sample, from the shop or its website. Add media once for each file.

- 2Main prompt
Four by three, say what goes, what replaces it, what stays
Pick 4:3 for the photo. Name the floor that goes, point at the sample for the new one, ask for realistic plank sizes, and list what must not move: the bed, the lamps, the walls, the skirting, the window, the camera. Pro quality, 150 credits.

77 seconds later: the herringbone floor
The carpet gone, the oak herringbone from the sample wall to wall, the bed, lamps and window untouched. Click the thumbnail to see it full size.

- 4Main prompt
The rug: add the new floor, then the rug’s product photo
The chat clears the two photos after the first render, so the composer is empty: add the new floor to the chat, add the rug’s product photo, and say where it lies and which way.

Put the rug from the product photo on the floor under the bed: the exact cream rug with the terracotta and blue diamond pattern and the fringed ends, laid flat, turned crosswise so it shows on both sides of the bed and at the foot of it. Keep the herringbone floor and everything else in the room exactly as it is: the bed, the bedside tables and lamps, the walls, the window, the light and the camera angle.

59 seconds later: the rug in place, and the bill
The rug from the packshot, pattern and fringes, under the bed on the new floor. Two images, 300 credits, 3 minutes 3 seconds from the first upload to the second result: about $0.55 on the $35 Pro plan.

Why the sample photo matters
A floor is chosen from a sample the size of a book
Flooring is one of the most-run room jobs on Visualizee: 68 paying accounts and 415 renders in the 60 days to Oct 5 changed a floor, and 51 accounts took a material straight from a reference photo. The decision is made over a sample board or a website swatch, and the question is always the same: what does that look like across the whole room, with my furniture on it?
Giving the sample as a photo instead of a description is the difference between "an oak floor" and that oak floor: its colour, its grain, its pattern. Flooring shops use it at the counter, fitters use it in the quote, and homeowners use it before the old floor comes up. The rug step uses the same move for anything with a product photo.
